Getting Off the Roller Coaster

In the span of a single day, I can go from…getting a call from a client telling me he sold $20 million (over two years) of a product for which I wrote the promo…to a call from another client saying he is going to try some other things and that he wants to pause our work together…to another client telling me the booklet I wrote and mailed to 100K recipients is making his phone ring off the hook…to ending the day really wondering what the hell I’m doing with my life.

It’s entirely possible for a roller coaster like this to happen all in the span of a few hours…maybe even multiple times per week.

Our mind has been trained that there are “good” things and “bad” things and in the middle things.

Good things make us feel good. Bad things make us feel bad. And “in the middle” things are up for grabs.

If we allow those programs to go unchallenged, if you hook your emotional well-being to these definitions, YOU WILL GO NUTS in business.

Some people will crack in a single flash of brilliance folks will gossip about for months, while others will crack slowly, over time…dying from the inside out.

There is no good. There is no bad.

There is only love and fear.

And really, there’s only love, or the absence of love, which we’ve labelled fear.

So that brings us to a moment of choice. A moment that repeats itself an infinite number of times each day: love or fear.

Your decisions about how you respond as life passes through you provide an opportunity for a peaceful revolution the likes of which the world is ready and waiting to receive.

What happens if you choose love no matter what’s going on?
