RE: Driving the iceberg

I still remember the palpable feeling of disbelief when they announced my name.

They announced 3rd prize first… wasn’t me. Then they announced 2nd prize… wasn’t me either. At that point, I pretty much knew it was over. I wasn’t going to win.

It’s not like anyone expected me to win. It was really my first major organ competition. There were folks way older and more experienced than I was. I looked like I was barely out of high school. (I WAS barely out of high school!)

And then they announced the winner. I remember I was zoning out at that point until I heard, “19 Year Old… Jason Leister…”

The disbelief in the room was rather palpable. And I was most likely the biggest contributor. Afterwards, a group of us went out to celebrate. I remember everyone at the table getting these huge mixed drinks. After a while, it looked like everyone was having a good time. And there I sat, the 19 year old punk, sipping his CokeĀ®.

My conscious mind hadn’t expected me to win. But there was something else going on at a much deeper level, because I DID win. Frankly, the whole thing was pretty effortless. But I had no idea why I’d won until years and years later.

It’s not woo woo stuff, it’s science. And in the upcoming issue of the Rainmaker Letter, I’m going to lay out how you can use this same science to build your business.

I promise you they never taught you this in school! And there’s a good reason. Because if you understand how this works, and if you use it, then no one can control you! Some people can’t deal with that.

The important thing about this is that working with clients is a bit like learning to maneuver an iceberg through the ocean. From the outside looking in, all you see is the top of the iceberg.

But when you’re the one driving it, you know there’s a HUGE block of ice underneath the surface that you need to be aware of. It’s that huge portion under the water that controls where everything goes.

You need to learn how to maneuver the ice under the water or you’re going to go through life feeling like you have no control over anything.

I’ve spent years figuring out how the heck to maneuver that part of the iceberg. And I’m going to share it with you so you can do it too.

But you have to subscribe to get it.
