Dog Walking in the Dark

This morning I took the dog for a five mile walk. She’s a cattle dog, so if she doesn’t get her energy out OUTSIDE of the house, she will get it out INSIDE the house. And that just doesn’t work out too well.

There’s not much happening here at 4:30 in the morning. Some food delivery trucks are out there, the bagel shop baker is…baking. But other than that, it’s pretty quiet.

I usually get back to the house just as the early wave of kids starts to get up.

The dog’s not much for conversation so, during the walk, I usually listen to podcasts. Or at least I used to until it started becoming too difficult to find enough of them worth listening to.

Even though every marketplace is 100X more crowded TODAY than ever before…even though there are 100X MORE marketplaces than ever before…there still seems to be a severe shortage of voices with something to say.

So while it might seem like it’s “noisy” out there, and that your message could never possibly get through, it’s actually not crowded at all.

What’s important to you that can help other people improve their lives? What do you believe in? What are you willing to STAND FOR?

The playing field appears to be wide open for people who are willing to answer those questions out loud.

Sometimes it takes a while to retrain your brain so you can stop saying what you think you’re supposed to say and start saying what you’re HERE ON THIS PLANET to say.
